Kristen Kirkland
Kristen’s property management journey began back in 2008 after selling her first home in Raleigh, NC and buying her next home in Charlotte, NC in which she lived for two years before renting it out. She managed the property herself for nine years, even after moving out of state to California and then to DC. Once she sold that property she purchased a single family home in Washington, DC in 2019 with the goal of starting an AirBnB business. Over the next year, she completely renovated the backyard and basement of her home to create The Azalea Suite which opened to guests in October 2020.
After three successful years in business, Kristen established KK Ventures LLC to further build her property management portfolio, amongst other philanthropic ventures that benefit the local community. She made the leap to expand and purchased a multi-unit complex in an adjacent neighborhood in DC. The Indigo currently offers two long term rentals,The Sky and The Sapphire, and one short to mid-term rental, The Azure.
